About Us

My name is McKenna, and I’m the creator of The PRN Post. I’m 33 years old, a former Registered Nurse, and someone who has spent most of her life navigating chronic illness. My health journey began when I was 12 years old. Since then, I’ve undergone multiple surgeries, battled cervical cancer, experienced the loss of organs I never imagined I’d lose, developed additional chronic health conditions, and suffered a stroke in 2024 that ultimately ended my nursing career.

For years, my life became a cycle of appointments, procedures, medications, recoveries, and uncertainty. But one of the hardest parts wasn’t the pain—it was the loneliness. Chronic illness has a way of making the world smaller. Friends move on, invitations stop coming, and people struggle to understand what they can’t see. Sometimes you begin to feel invisible. There were seasons when I felt completely cut off from the world around me.

I created The PRN Post because I never want someone else to feel as alone as I did. This isn’t just a subscription, and it isn’t just a letter in the mail—it’s a reminder that someone understands, that your struggles matter, that your story matters, and that even on the days when illness feels isolating, you are still connected to a community of people who understand what it means to carry heavy things. When you receive a PRN Post, you’re not just a customer—you’re a person. A person with dreams, fears, frustrations, hopes, and a story worth knowing.

My hope is that each envelope brings a little comfort, a little encouragement, and a reminder that you’re not walking this road alone. And maybe one day, we’ll find even more ways to connect with one another. Until then, I’ll keep sending encouragement—as needed. With love, McKenna, Founder of The PRN Post.
